Southern Hushpuppy	East Texas Cheerleading Competition
If you’ve got the secret ingredient to the most delicious hushpuppy recipe, then sign-up your team for the 37th Annual Brookshire brothers/HYTOP Southern hushpuppy Championships to be held at the 24th Annual Texas State Forest Festival on Saturday, September 27, 2008. As featured on The Food Network and The Travel Channel. Held on Saturday of the festival, the Southern Hushpuppy Championships attracts participants and crowds from all across the state.	Varsity and Junior Varsity cheerleading squads across the Texas Forest Country come to compete for the crown of East Texas Cheerleading Champion. The competition is sponsored by Y100 KYBI and is held on Saturday morning of the festival in the main arena. The cheerleading championships is full of fun and excitement for the entire family.
East Texs Pom Pon / Dance Team Competition	Baby Derby
Dance teams entertain the crowds on Wednesday night at the forest festival as they all compete to see who has the best dance team in East Texas.	Come watch or bring your baby to compete in the Baby Derby. Babies will be competing to see who can crawl and run to the finish line the fastest.
