If you’ve got the secret ingredient to the most delicious hushpuppy recipe, then sign-up your team for the 40th Annual Brookshire Brothers Southern Hushpuppy Championships to be held at the 27th Annual Texas State Forest Festival on Saturday, September 24, 2011. Previously featured on The Food Network and The Travel Channel, the Southern Hushpuppy Championships attracts participants and crowds from all across the state.

East Texas Cheerleading Championship


Varsity and Junior Varsity cheerleading squads across the Texas Forest Country come to compete for the crown of East Texas Cheerleading Champion. The competition is sponsored by Y100 KYBI and is held on Saturday morning of the festival in the main arena. The cheerleading championships is full of fun and excitement for the entire family.

Miss Forest Festival Pageant & Litle Mr. Timberjack Contest


Presented by Brookshire Brothers, the Miss Forest Festival Pagent & Little Mr. Timberjack Contest will be held September 25, 2010 and is open to a variety of ages. Be sure to download the pageant/contest PDF for more information.

This event will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Pineywoods Academy at 9:30am. This allows the Queen to reign over the festival Worry-Free.

In addition, a teen division will be added this year.
